I'm a tutor in the Astoria, New York area who is originally from Connecticut. I earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Western Connecticut State University, and I'm truly passionate about all aspects of chemistry. However, I do tutor students in a variety of science and mathematics subjects. Both math and science are subjects that I excel in, but I also enjoy teaching them because they set the groundwork for helping students to understand the world around them.I believe that everyone has the ability to grasp the material that they are learning, regardless of how long it takes, and I love to see my students' faces when something finally clicks with them. I strive to create a positive learning environment for my students, and appreciate every single opportunity that I have to teach. I tutor students in pre-algebra, algebra, precalculus, calculus, geometry, and trigonometry, as well as AP Calculus, AP Calculus BC, college-level algebra, probability, and quantitative reasoning. Additionally, I tutor science students in chemistry, AP Chemistry, thermochemistry, general chemistry, science, physical science, and nuclear chemistry. I'm also available to help students with test prep, including preparing students to take the SAT, PSAT, and graduate exams.In my free time, I enjoy drawing, gaming, and cooking.
